Rachel D’Alessio (she/her)
DIRECTOR | PSYCHOLOGIST | CREDENTIALED EATING DISORDER CLINICIAN
I am a Registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS), and a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician with the Australian & New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED). With over 12 years of experience as a psychologist across both inpatient and outpatient settings, I have worked alongside adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of eating disorders and mental health difficulties.
I am deeply committed to supporting people with eating disorders because I believe that everyone deserves to feel free in their body and at peace in their mind. Eating disorders often take hold quietly yet powerfully, leaving people feeling alone and disconnected from themselves. My work focuses on helping people return to a life grounded in self-worth and no longer defined by food, numbers, or appearance. Recovery is possible, and it begins with feeling truly understood, supported, and safe.
At Whole Form Psychology, I offer a warm, non-judgemental space and collaborate closely with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated support. My therapeutic approach is holistic, person-centred, and evidence-based (see Treatment Approach page for further information). I practice from a Health at Every Size® (HAES) framework and adopt a non-diet, weight-inclusive philosophy that deeply respects each person’s lived experience.
